The image above, showing the chair in the upright position, is identical to the original in position and comfort. The image in the middle shows the chair reclined to 50 degrees....a very comfortable snoozing position. The back is supported by the arms and curved back seat slat, and all pieces are screwed and glued with Gorilla Glue for the necessary strength. A recent Customer picked up some plans at my home and sat in one of the final prototypes. He found it very comfortable in the reclined position, and strong enough to hold his over 6' height and 210 lb. weight.
I didn’t realize how important it is to evaluate the weather conditions of your area and aesthetics when choosing a material for outdoor furniture. My sister just bought a home that has a nice patio in the backyard. Hopefully, these tips can help her choose a furniture set that will allow her to entertain guests in comfort. .
Hello Tim. Thank you for your comment. Good luck on your search and we hope you find just what you’re looking for to create a beautiful and comfortable outdoor space.
This chair is fairly comfortable, which is important! It features a gently curved back, which makes prolonged sitting in the chair much more pleasant than sitting in chairs without a curved back.
Our tables come with a hole to hold a standard 1.5” diameter patio umbrella rod, and a plug(s) for when the umbrella is not in use.

A: Typically, poly furniture is stain-repellent, which means it’s not prone to stains. However, over time, you may find your poly furniture may accumulate some debris or dirt that’s difficult to get off with soap and water. This phenomenon may happen if you live in an area where wind or frequent storms kick up dirt or dust. Or, it may be more likely if you use your furniture daily, especially if you’re eating and drinking while using it. Combine 1/3 bleach with 2/3 water. Remove any decorative items on the furniture, such as cushions or tablecloths, to avoid accidentally staining them with the bleach solution. Apply the bleach/water mixture to your poly furniture, then let it sit on the surface of the furniture for a few minutes. You can also use a soft-bristled brush to work the bleach/water mixture into the grooves in the surface or to loosen difficult stains. Don’t worry — this won’t damage the surface or change the color of your furniture! Rinse thoroughly with a hose, then allow to air dry.
Thank you for your comment. That is a great question. From personal experience Polywood is one of the best outdoor materials when it comes to withstanding all types of extreme weather conditions. From cold to hot climates, polywood does very well in any setting. They don’t even need to be covered during the off-season, their furniture pieces can handle exposure all year round.
The directions are fairly clear. The pieces have stamped on them individual numbers (i.e., C5) which helps things move along a little quicker.

Unfortunately, most chairs that I have seen, utilize the "flipper" behind the back support. Most of these chairs are bolted using one washer, or none, in between the folding parts. Some designs rub on the sides of the main frame support, and over time show scraping marks, and can also bind if folded after moist weather.
